*Green speed is a crucial fundamental factor for calculations and must be set before playing.
Enter the green speed announced at the golf course's master room.

■Measure Green Information (Uphill/Downhill, Slice/Hook)
*Simply place the putter on the green to perform the measurement.
*Determine the distance to the cup yourself.
(Try to be as accurate as possible,
           such as by counting steps.)
*The measured information is displayed on the measurement screen and the advice screen.
 step1 Measure upload/download.
Tilt the putter toward the cup, place it on the grass, and measure the uphill/downhill slope.
 step2 Measure slice/hook.
After completing the uphill/downhill measurement, rotate 90 degrees to measure the slice/hook.

■Launch direction
 1) Compass Mode
After the slice/hook measurement in Step 2, rotate the putter 90 degrees while keeping it parallel, aim for the pin, and determine the launch direction.
 2)AimPoint method

■Advice (Putting Based on Collected Green Information)
Each practice swing displays the estimated putting distance.Take several practice swings to find the one that matches or closely aligns with your intended distance. Then, putt in the calculated direction using that swing.(This helps you land within a one-putt range.)
After putting, the time taken from setup to stroke (in seconds) and the actual putting distance will be displayed.

■Energy-Saving Mode
Two minutes after turning on the power, the device enters energy-saving mode, and the red lamp blinks.
To resume, click any button except the power button.
If no action is taken, the device will automatically turn off two minutes after entering energy-saving mode.

■Attachment
Attach the device facing directly upward to a smooth area on the putter shaft without any steps or bumps.
*Putters with non-magnetic shafts (e.g., carbon) cannot be used.

■Operation & Control Modes
There are three operation modes based on the rotation of the Green Caddie.

■Initial Setup – Shoulder Height, Dominant Hand, Language
Rotate the device upward to enter the settings mode on the operation screen.
➡ Press and hold for initial setup to display the settings menu.
➡ Use +/- to select shoulder height, dominant hand (default: right-handed), and language (default: Japanese).
➡ Confirm selection.
➡ Input values.
➡ Complete setup.

■Initial Setup – Horizontal Calibration

Description of the Above Diagram
Rotate the device upward to enter settings mode.
➡ Press and hold for initial setup to display the   settings menu.
➡ Use +/- to select horizontal calibration.
➡ Confirm (press +/- to start calibration).
➡ Close the device, attach it, and place it on a flat, hard surface.
➡ If interrupted, the horizontal calibration will be invalid.

➡Until the putter rotates 180° and is displayed.
➡Lift slightly while keeping it parallel, slowly rotate 180° and place it down when the green lamp appears.
"END" will be displayed, and the process will automatically complete.

How to Play at the Golf Course
■Input Green Speed
Stand the device upright and enter the green speed announced in the golf course master room in the settings mode.

    *Check and Adjust Green Speed
Check the green speed on the practice green.
If the displayed distance is shorter than the actual putting distance, decrease the green speed.
If the displayed distance is longer than the actual putting distance, increase the green speed.

■Step (1): Measure Uphill/Downhill
Caution:
Placing the putter on the green automatically starts the uphill/downhill measurement.
If more than 5 seconds pass after the measurement is completed, rotating the putter 90° will not allow left/right measurement.
*Place the putter on the green along the line from the ball to the cup, pointing towards the pin. This will automatically measure whether the slope is uphill or downhill. If you do not rotate the putter, continuous measurement is possible. It is recommended to take measurements as close to the pin as possible.

 Measurement Result 1:
The slope is too steep to be measured.

  Measurement Result 2:
The measured multiplier for the putting distance to the cup.

If no calculation is performed, manually enter the estimated distance by clicking the +/- buttons up or down. The putting distance will be automatically calculated. Input range: 0.5m – 30m

*Uphill/Downhill Ends End of Uphill/Downhill
If you lift the putter while measuring, the uphill/downhill measurement will be canceled.
The previously measured result will be cleared.
After the measurement is complete, lifting the putter will end the process, and the measurement results will be displayed on the advice screen.
*Measure Uphill/Downhill Again
If you place it down without rotating, the uphill/downhill measurement will start again.
If you rotate it 90 degrees and place it down, it will switch to slice/hook measurement.
Back

■Step (2): Slice/Hook Measurement

After the uphill/downhill measurement is complete, rotate it 90 degrees and place it down to automatically start the slice/hook measurement.
Note:If the measurement is not complete and the putter is lifted, the slice/hook measurement will be canceled. The previously measured result will be cleared. For continuous measurement, perform the next measurement within 5 seconds.

The measurement results will be the values of the Aim Point finger. If measurement is not possible, the Aim Point will be 5 or higher.
*Lift it up to finish, and display the measured results on the advice screen.
*Re-measure slice/hook.
If you place it without rotating, the slice/hook measurement will start again.
*Check the direction of the shot using the compass method.
Measurement not possible; the compass method cannot be used if the ball is hit straight.
Rotate the putter 90° (toward the pin) while keeping it horizontal, and it will indicate the direction of the shot using the compass method.
*Indicate the direction of the shot using the Aim Point method.
Back

■Indicate the direction of the shot – Compass method.
After completing the slice/hook measurement, rotate the device 90° while keeping it horizontal (maintaining the slice/hook measurement screen). Then, place the device on top of the ball, facing the pin, and it will indicate the direction of the shot.

*The value is the Aim Point index.
*The slope value is a reference, and especially in the case of an uphill, it is necessary to reduce the slope value to some extent. Accumulating a lot of experience is essential.

■Aim Point method.
Aim Point is a method developed by Mark Sweeney for measuring the slope of greens. It is a technique used by top players around the world. Many articles about it are available online.
The most difficult part of Aim Point is being unable to read the slope. GreenCaddie, however, allows for reading the slope more accurately than the slice/hook measurement.
*The slope value is a reference, and especially in the case of an uphill, it is necessary to reduce the slope value to some extent. Accumulating a lot of experience is essential.

The following diagram shows the Aim Point method with 3 fingers for a slice.
